This is an old photo from 1975 when the entire northeast was a Region under SBI Bengal Circle.
This photograph shows a two-men branch expansion team on its way to Lunglei and Saiha of Mizoram.
The gentleman on the left is Dr Ananda Bose, now Governor, West Bengal and next to him is Joseph VAIKHUMA retired banker. To travel, they borrowed a jeep from SBI Narsingpur Branch (near Silchar town).
