*Subject: Request for taking up appropriate measures for bringing peace and normalcy in Manipur.
*Hon'ble Sir,*
It is my humble observation that permanent peace and normalcy in Manipur may be brought by taking up the following measures:
(i) Military crackdown on the Kukl-Zo terrorists
(ii) Implementation of the Manipur (Hill Areas (Acquisition of Chieftainship) Act. 1967;
(iii) Deletion of nomadic Chin-Kuki-Zo tribes from the ST list of Manipur.
(iv) Abrogation of the tripartite Suspension of Operations (SOO) Agreement between the Government of India, the Government of Manipur and Militant Groups of Kuki-Chin-Zo commumty signed on August 22, 2008 and extended till February 29, 2024;
(v) Scrapptng of Free Movement Regime (FMR) and installation of Impenetrable boarder fencing between Manipur and Myanmar;
(vi) Implementation of NRC with 1951 as the base year.
