Retired Major DIGVIJAY SINGH
RAWAT, KC, refuted claims of houses being burned in Manipur, calling it misinformation
in a Twitter post.
According to his statement, at
around 1:45 PM, police received reports of a wildfire in the area
between Molshang and Gelmol villages, where dried grass had caught fire.
In response, a coordinated team
comprising the Army, CRPF, local police, and Moirang Fire Services, with
assistance from CRPF E-8 Company and 5 Sikh Regiment, rushed to the site
and successfully brought the fire under control.
Urging the public not to fall prey
to false narratives, Rawat called on @manipur_police and @BhallaAjay26
to take action against those spreading misinformation.
