KUALA LUMPUR, July 29, 2025 — The much-anticipated Global Zomi Lengthe (GZL) Season 3 – Grand Finale takes center stage today at the HGH Convention Centre, Sentul. Zomi talents from across the world—including the USA, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and Myanmar—have competed for this prestigious title. The event also marks the 25th anniversary of the Zomi Music Uplift Society (ZOMUS, established in 2000), celebrating unity, culture, and voice through music.

It is jointly organised by ZOMUS and the Zomi Artistes Association (ZAA-India).

More than a musical contest, Zomi Lengthe is a cultural movement. The word “Lengthe” is derived from a rare insect found in the Zogam hills—its melodious, far-reaching cry is heard across mountains, forests, and valleys. Said to sing in moments of love, solitude, and longing, the lengthe’s voice (khuang kelkel) stirs the soul and echoes emotions that connect people across distances.

In that same spirit, Zomi Lengthe represents the emotional, powerful, and unifying voice of the Zomi people—carrying songs, dreams, and identity from a scattered but deeply bonded community.

🌍 Zomis from across the globe—USA, Australia, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, India, and Myanmar—have participated in this journey of music and identity, competing for this prestigious title that transcends borders.
