According to a press note issued by the Office of the Director General of Police, Manipur, the joint operations were launched over the past few days based on specific intelligence inputs indicating the presence of hidden weapon stockpiles. Multiple coordinated raids were carried out in the interior and suspected areas of Churachandpur, Pherzawl, Kangpokpi, Chandel, and Tengnoupal districts.
As per the official statement, the operation led to the seizure of 155 weapons, including:

And other assorted firearms including bolt action rifles and muzzle loaders.
In addition, 1652 rounds of ammunition were recovered, which included:

1600 rounds of assorted ammunition
Other items seized during the operations include 4 binoculars, 15 communication sets, and 1 telescope, all believed to have been used in militant or unlawful activities.
“These intelligence-led operations mark a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur,” the DGP office noted. “The coordinated efforts of the Manipur Police, Assam Rifles, Army, and CAPFs have helped avert potential threats to civilian life and public safety.”
The Manipur Police has urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or illegal arms possession to the nearest police station or the Central Control Room. The department reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of all communities across the state.
Senior police officials stated that similar operations will continue in a “sustained and focused manner” to bring stability and security back to the affected regions.
