Owing to time constraints, every group-stage matchday of the ongoing Inter-Village Independence Football Tournament 2025 organised by Chikim Group in collaboration with DSA Churachandpur will see a whopping 7 matches.
In today's fixtures, 4 matches will be taking place at Lamka Football Ground, Hiangtam Lamka while Saikawt Playground will be hosting 3 matches.
In the first match of the day at Lamka Football Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, Neihsial Veng will be taking on Tuibuong while Zomi Bethel face C. Joupi in the second round. Later in the afternoon, D. Phailien takes on B. Ebenezer while Kamdou Veng entertains Siden in the day's last fixture.
At Saikawt Playground, K. Mongjang, who are represented by Dynamic Football Academy go head to head with District Super League outfit Bungmual while Zoveng and Khominthang are scheduled to face off in the second round and Joutung face L. Cilon in the last round.
Mention may be made that Zoveng Team is represented by Fulltime Football Academy while Khominthang Team is represented by Happy Feet Football Academy with the addition of three bright prospects in Levis Zangminlun Haokip, Khamchinkhup and Jay Paominlal Singson. Levis Zangminlun previously represented India in Under -17 SAFF Cup and played viral role in helping India to victory while Jay Paominlal Singson and Khamchinkhup played for one of India's finest Academies Sreenidi Deccan FC. So, the match between Zoveng and Khominthang will be a special attraction today albeit not undermining other fixtures.
L. Cilon is also a team represented by another Academy Team in Northeast Youngsters Football School with some other quality additions while Zotung is the assembly of mixed blending of youth and experience.
