MIZORAM is set to witness history as train services will connect the state for the very first time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-awaited rail link from Sairang (near Aizawl) on September 13, 2025.
New Train Services from Sairang (Mizoram):
1. Sairang – Guwahati (Daily Service)
Departure from Sairang: 4:00 pm → Arrival at Guwahati: 4:45 am
Departure from Guwahati: 8:00 pm → Arrival at Sairang: 8:45 am
Distance: 484 km | Duration: 12 hrs 45 mins
Important Stoppage: New Haflong
2. Sairang – Delhi (Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express):
Departure from Sairang: Friday 4:30 pm → Arrival at Delhi: Sunday 10:50 am
Departure from Delhi: Sunday 7:50 pm → Arrival at Sairang: Tuesday 3:15 pm
Distance: 2510 km | Duration: 42 hrs 20 mins
Important Stoppage: New Haflong
3. Sairang – Silchar (Daily Service):
Departure from Silchar: 4:55 pm → Arrival at Sairang: 10:30 pm
Departure from Sairang: 5:00 am → Arrival at Silchar: 10:35 am
Distance: 154 km | Duration: 5 hrs 35 mins
With these services, Mizoram will finally be connected by rail to the rest of India, fulfilling a long-standing dream of the people.
