Against the Odds!
Let's do the Math:
In the SSC CPO–2024 exam, there are a total of 385 ST vacancies, and 66 of them were secured by Kuki-Zo youths. That means the Kuki-Zo community alone made up 17.14% of the total ST selections across India.
The Kuki-Zo population in Manipur is about 16%, and when we look at the national level, their population is just a tiny fraction compared to India's total Scheduled Tribe population of 104.2 million (as per the 2011 Census).
So, achieving 17.14% of the ST vacancy across India is not a small thing, it's a big achievement.
The Kuki-Zo youths have shown what resilience, hard work, and determination can do. They truly deserve appreciation and applause for this success.
There's a lesson for all of us to learn from them, that no matter how small a community may be, with strong will and dedication, great things can be achieved.
