Tangkhul Students' Union: Press Statement

The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS)expresses its unwavering support to the "Emergency" declared by the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) on 10th February in view of the prevailing situation affecting our land and people. We acknowledge the gravity of the circumstances that necessitated such a declaration and firmly stand by the collective decision taken in the larger interest of our community.

TKS aligns itself with the aspirations of the young generation who seek peace, security, justice and a future built on unity and dignity. As a responsible student body, we reaffirm our commitment to uphold the rights and welfare of our people while promoting constructive engagement and collective responsibility during this critical time.

The Saklong salute the courage, endurance and sacrifices of all the frontline workers — volunteer, women folk and those who are tirelessly rendering their services for the safety and well being of the public. Your courage, sacrifice and dedication during this emergency reflect the true spirit of our community.

The Saklong also expresses firm solidarity with all the displaced families due to the present situation. We stand shoulder to shoulder with every affected household and commits to extend every possible assistance within its capacity while ensuring coordinated efforts with concerned authorities and organization for effective relief and rehabilitation.

At this juncture, the Saklong appeal to all sections of society to stay vigilant and united. Let us uphold the spirit of solidarity and collective responsibility as we navigate through this challenging period together.
