Chandel, May 20, 2026 (DIO): As part of the IEC Campaign “Janjatiya Garima Utsav-2026 – Jan Bhagidari Week (Sabse Door, Sabse Pahle),” the District Administration, Chandel conducted a saturation and health awareness drive along with a Transect Walk at Japhou and Monsang Pantha villages today. The programme witnessed participation from a large number of villagers.
Under the District Administration’s IEC initiative, residents from nearby villages were also invited to join the programme. During the awareness drive, officials educated the public on various Government schemes and welfare services being implemented under the ongoing campaign. Altogether, around 671 people attended and actively participated in the programme.

A health camp was also organised by the Autonomous District Council in coordination with the Health Department, Chandel, providing health-related services and awareness to the villagers.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of District Nodal Officer Shri Koshon Saka, Statistical Investigator, DRDA, Chandel.
The campaign aims to promote community participation, spread awareness about Government initiatives, and ensure that essential services and development programmes reach remote villages in Chandel district.
