Lamka, June 17, 2026: Three youths injured during the alleged attack on Leilon Munlui village by suspected Naga militants on June 15, 2026, have reportedly been shifted from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, to the District Hospital in Lamka.
The injured have been identified as Genlenmang Vaiphei (15), Lunliandou Vaiphei (20), and Paugoula Chongloi (18), a promising footballer associated with Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
According to reports, the three youths were initially admitted to RIMS for treatment after being transported there by army and security personnel on the day of the incident. However, they were later shifted to Lamka District Hospital following intense pressure arising from protests allegedly carried out by some Naga and Meitei groups against their treatment at RIMS.
Community members have expressed appreciation to the army and security forces for facilitating the injured youths' medical treatment immediately after the incident.

Reports also indicate that the Young Vaiphei Association (YVA) General Headquarters and its block leaders are assisting and caring for the injured youths during their recovery.
The condition of the three youths was not immediately known, though well-wishers have expressed hopes for their speedy recovery.
