Lamka, 3 July 2026: The Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) has issued a public notice announcing an economic blockade, warning that the transportation and supply of essential commodities, including food, medicines and fuel, will be strictly prohibited during the blockade.
According to the notice issued by the Media Cell of the Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) on 3 July 2026, any individual or group found violating the blockade will be held solely responsible for the consequences and may face action deemed appropriate by the concerned authorities.
The organisation stated that the blockade is being carried out in support of the ongoing United Naga Council (UNC) economic blockade, launched in protest over the killing of six Naga men. The notice says the blockade is intended to press for justice in connection with the incident.
