An essential goods carrier truck bound for Lamka (Churachandpur district), Manipur, was reportedly set on fire by alleged Meitei miscreants near Thamnapokpi in the Yaingangpokpi area, close to Moirang in Bishnupur district, on the night of 26 July 2026. The incident has reportedly raised fresh concerns over the safety of vehicles transporting essential supplies along the route.
