Manipur Transfers Nine Health Officers Across State

Imphal, July 27, 2026: The Government of Manipur has ordered the transfer and posting of nine Medical and Health Services (MHS) officers with immediate effect in the interest of public service.

According to an order issued by the Health Department on 22 July 2026, the transferred officers include Dr. Tongjaikai Haokip, Specialist (Paediatrics), District Hospital Churachandpur, who has been posted as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Tengnoupal. Dr. Naulak Niangliankim, Medical Officer (ENT), District Hospital Churachandpur, has been transferred to Moreh Hospital as Medical Officer and will also serve as in-charge of the District Programme Officer (NVBDCP), Tengnoupal.

Other transfers include Dr. Jamkhopum Baite, Dr. Kamlalmuan Singson, Dr. Farouque Shaikh, and Dr. Md Shaikh Yousuf Ali, all posted to Moreh Hospital in various capacities. Meanwhile, Dr. Md Sharif Ahmed has been transferred to CHC Sugnu as Specialist (Paediatrics), Dr. L. Saratchandra Singh to CHC Sugnu as Specialist (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), and Dr. Athokpam Manjushree Devi to District Hospital Thoubal as Specialist (Obstetrics & Gynaecology).

The notification stated that all the officers have been relieved from their present places of posting with immediate effect to enable them to join their new assignments.

The order was issued by Loktongbam Leander, Deputy Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Government of Manipur, by the order and in the name of the Governor of Manipur.
