ZSF-GHQ Backs Status Quo on College Principal

Lamka, July 06, 2026: The Zomi Students' Federation–General Headquarters (ZSF-GHQ) has expressed its support for maintaining the current leadership at Churachandpur Government College (Autonomous), stating that no change should be made to the Principal's post at this point.

In a press release issued on Sunday, the federation said frequent changes in institutional leadership often lead to instability and negatively affect the functioning of educational institutions. It noted that the incumbent Principal has initiated several administrative and academic programmes, and argued that replacing the Principal now could hamper those initiatives and disrupt the existing relationship between the Principal, students and staff.

Emphasising the need for stability and continuity, ZSF-GHQ urged the authorities to retain the present arrangement until a regular Principal is formally appointed, saying such a decision would serve the best interests of both the students and the college.
