Aizawl, August 6, 2026: Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Aizawl, intercepted a Suzuki Eeco ambulance near Seling in Aizawl district, Mizoram, on August 6 and seized 15 kg of methamphetamine tablets valued at approximately ₹45 crore.
Three individuals were apprehended during the operation, including a woman who allegedly posed as a patient in an attempt to evade suspicion.
The seized methamphetamine, along with the three apprehended individuals and the ambulance, was handed over to DRI, Aizawl, for further investigation and legal proceedings under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
