Churachandpur DC Directs Verification of IDP Financial Aid

LAMKA, August 20, 2026 — The Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur, Krishna Kumar, has issued an official memorandum directing all Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) in the district to consolidate and verify details of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) currently receiving financial assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The order applies across the sub-divisions of Churachandpur, Tuibong, Kangvai, Saikot, Sangaikot, and Singngat. According to the administrative order, the measure aims to establish a comprehensive and accurate record regarding the origin villages of IDPs, their current settlement locations, and the various government benefits extended to them. These benefits include assistance under the Special Prime Minister’s Awaas Yojana - Gramin (SPMAY-G), ₹1,000,000 assistance, and support provided for partially damaged houses.

Sub-Divisional Officers have been requested to submit the verified information in both soft copy (Excel format) and duly signed hard copy format. In addition, administrative officials are tasked with collecting and safely maintaining a filled Mandate-cum-Consent Form from every IDP receiving DBT support for official record-keeping and audit requirements.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the urgency of the exercise, instructing officials that the verification process must be accorded high priority. Copies of the directive have also been forwarded to the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for Relief Centre Data Collection and Management as well as the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA).
