LAMKA, August 10, 2026: Gracy Chingngailun Tungdim, hailing from the Zou community of Lamka, has achieved a significant milestone by clearing the National Defence Academy (NDA) selection process and the Naval Selection Board at Bhopal.
She is reported to be the first person from the Kuki-Zomi tribal community in Manipur to achieve the distinction of clearing the NDA and the Naval Selection Board.
The achievement has brought pride to her family and community and is being hailed as an inspiring accomplishment for young people aspiring to join the Defence Forces.
Gracy’s success also reflects the growing participation of young people from tribal communities in national defence services and is expected to encourage more youths to pursue careers in the armed forces.
