Kangpokpi Holds Full-Scale I-Day Dress Rehearsal

KANGPOKPI, August 13, 2026 (DIO): A full-scale dress rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming 80th Independence Day celebration took place successfully at the DC Office Mini Secretariat complex. Inspection of the guard of honour was led by Parade Commander Shri Lhunminlal Khongsai, MPS, SDPO Kangpokpi, accompanied by Shri Lamminlal Simte, MCS, ADC Kangpokpi, and Shri Kamkhohao, MPS, Addl. SP Kangpokpi. 

The parade contingents featured representatives from various contingents and departments, including the State Police, IRB, NCC, and local school students. The event proved to be a resounding success, highlighting the discipline and shared spirit of all participants.

The exercise underscored the thorough preparedness of the contingents, inspiring a deep sense of pride and patriotism among attendees. Serving as a poignant reminder of the heroic sacrifices of our freedom fighters, the event paid fitting tribute to the nation on the eve of another Independence Day.

The day also included a solemn ceremony of offering floral tributes at the Conference hall of DC on the occasion of Patriots Day to pay homage to the sacrifices made by our brave patriots.
