The Kuki Women Organisation for Human Rights (KWOHR) has announced a state-wide protest rally on Friday, August 21, 2026, targeting what it calls discrimination, bias, and selective actions by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against the Kuki-Zo community.
Organisers have issued a call under the banner "One People. One Voice. One Demand: Justice!", urging members of the community to participate and demand equal justice.

Rally Route: The procession will begin at Koite Play Ground, pass through Tuinom Road Junction and Tuibong Bazar along the main town road, and conclude at the Wall of Remembrance in Tuibong.
Key Speakers: Leaders from prominent civil society groups, including the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), Kuki Inpi Churachandpur (KIC), Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO Ccpur), and Kuki Women Union (KWU), are scheduled to address the gathering.
Program Leaders: The proceedings will be compered by KWOHR Secretary Nu Lamneikim, with opening and closing prayers led by Pr Letkholen Chongloi and Pr L. Singsit, respectively. Welcome remarks will be delivered by Pi Ngaineikim.
The demonstration comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with organizers asserting that the community seeks fair investigation procedures and an end to perceived selective actions by federal agencies.
