Thadou Inpi Manipur (TIM) has been invited by the Government of Manipur, to participate in the Two-Day Consultative Meeting-cum-Seminar on the Demographic Profile of Manipur to be held on 7–8 August 2026 at Classic Grande, Imphal.

TIM welcomes this consultative initiative. The Thadou are an indigenous people of Manipur, recognised under the Inner Line Permit (ILP) Rules, 2022, and have been officially recorded as Thadou only in all Censuses since 1881.
Issues relating to illegal immigration and demographic imbalance must be addressed strictly in accordance with the law, based on facts and due process, while respecting the rights and dignity of all communities.
Before participating in the Government's consultation, TIM will hold an open Google Meet Consultation to seek public views and recommendations so that its representation reflects informed public opinion.
