CCPur College Principal & Vice Principal Signs Joint Agreement

The Principal and Vice Principal of Churachandpur College have formally executed a joint agreement on 7th September 2026. Following an intervention and joint appeal by local student bodies on 5th September 2026, both officials agreed to resolve their ongoing dispute amicably. They committed to consulting their legal counsels to withdraw the case currently pending before the High Court of Manipur at Imphal by 20th September 2026. The declaration emphasizes mutual respect, professional cooperation, and voluntary resolution without coercion. Ultimately, the agreement aims to restore institutional harmony and maintain a peaceful academic atmosphere for the benefit of the college and its students.

JOINT AGREEMENT / DECLARATION
Date: 7th September, 2026

We, the undersigned:
Shri Ginzamang T. Zomi, Principal, Churachandpur College, Churachandpur; and
Smt. Caroline Zothangmawi, Vice Principal, Churachandpur College, Churachandpur;
do hereby jointly declare and agree as follows:

WHEREAS,

A matter/case concerning the undersigned parties is presently pending before the Hon'ble High Court of Manipur at Imphal;

AND WHEREAS,

the Joint Student Body of Churachandpur District, represented by the Zomi Students' Federation (ZSF), General Headquarters; Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Churachandpur District; and Hmar Students' Association (HSA), Joint Headquarters, Tuithaphai, made a joint appeal and declaration on Saturday, the 5th September, 2026, in the Chamber of the Principal, Churachandpur College, urging for an amicable settlement and peaceful resolution of the matter in the larger interest of Churachandpur College, its students, staff and the general public;

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the appeal and in the greater interest of peace, harmony, unity and the smooth functioning and development of Churachandpur College, we hereby mutually agree and declare that:

Both parties shall take necessary steps, in accordance with law and upon consultation with their respective legal counsels, for the withdrawal of the case/petition pending before the Hon'ble High Court of Manipur at Imphal on humanitarian ground at the earliest latest by 20th September, 2026.

Both parties agree to resolve all differences amicably and peacefully through mutual understanding and dialogue.

Both parties undertake to maintain mutual respect and professional cooperation in the larger interest of Churachandpur College and its academic community.

This Joint Agreement/Declaration is made voluntarily, without coercion, pressure or undue influence from any person or organization, and with the sincere intention of promoting peace, reconciliation and institutional harmony.

Both parties agree to abide by the spirit and provisions of this Joint Agreement/Declaration and to extend full cooperation towards restoring and maintaining a peaceful and conducive academic and administrative atmosphere in Churachandpur College.

This Joint Agreement/Declaration is executed in good faith on this 7th day of September, 2026.
