RADIO remains an important means of communication even today. For the Thadou community, the Thadou programme on All India Radio (Akashvani) Imphal has been an important platform for preserving our language, identity, culture, and heritage.
The programme was disrupted following the violence in Manipur in 2023. Since then, the Thadou community has been making continued efforts to restore the Thadou Unit of Akashvani Imphal.
Today, along with the President of Thadou Inpi Manipur, met with Akashvani Imphal officials to discuss the restoration of the Thadou programme.
Restoring the programme means restoring an important voice of the Thadou community. Our voice must be heard, and our heritage must be preserved.
