For the Thangkhal Christians today, Kulhvum is regarded as a sacred prayer hill. In earlier times, it was known mainly as a hunting ground for the Thangkhal people living in the Mulam Hills . During those days, many in the community were unfamiliar with the Gospel and followed Lawki , their traditional belief system.
