Bus accident injures 20 students in Nagaland

A St. Joseph College Jakhama (Autonomous) bus carrying around 20 students was involved in an accident near Kigwema village on Tuesday, resulting in injuries to most of the students on board. The incident occurred around 2 pm while the bus was returning to Kohima after school.

Around 20 students were injured in the accident.

6-7 students were initially taken to the Army Hospital, Zakhama, for first aid treatment.

The remaining students were rushed to Bethesda Hospital, where one male student is in serious condition.

According to the PRO, the cause of the accident is still unknown, and it is yet to be established whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
