WHILE exploring the bustling Kanyakumari coast among fishermen and visitors, I stumbled upon a shop selling a variety of seashells. The cheerful shopkeeper enthusiastically welcomed me, showing off his collection and repeatedly guessing, “From Japan… Japan?”
I had my eye on a seashell that sounded like a trumpet, but the price – 700 -- sparked a lively debate. The challenge? We couldn’t understand each other’s language! It was a funny and lighthearted moment, ending with shared smiles.
I promised to return with friends to make a purchase.
As the sun set and I prepared to revisit, rain began to fall in steady drops.
I couldn’t help but wonder if he was still waiting for me.
As the sun set and I prepared to revisit, rain began to fall in steady drops.
I couldn’t help but wonder if he was still waiting for me.
Making a small promise and failing to keep it feels like deceiving someone.
I deeply regret it.
I deeply regret it.
