Nestled in Anjugramam village in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, RASTHACAUD Beach is a hidden gem that many travellers have yet to discover. Though not widely known, this serene beach offers a unique charm and natural beauty that rivals even the most popular coastal destinations. The peaceful shoreline and breathtaking views create a tranquil escape, setting it apart from other, more crowded beaches.

Watching visitors of all ages, young and old, joyfully playing in the gentle waves was infectious, and I found myself almost tempted to dive in and join them. The beach’s simplicity and untouched beauty left an impression on my heart that I know will last. Rasthacaud Beach may be off the beaten path, but its allure makes it a place worth seeking out -- a true treasure for any traveller looking for a memorable coastal experience.

Here’s a glimpse of the breathtaking views that
will leave you spellbound and inspired along the way...

The word “Rasthacaud” is derived from the Tamil language, where “rastha” means “path” or “way” and “caud” or “kaud” refers to “shore” or “coast”.

Therefore, the literal meaning of Rasthacaud can be

interpreted as “the path to the shore” or “coastal path”.

This name reflects the beach’s geographical features and its connection to the coastal area.

During my vibrant journey around the southern tip of India, where the country’s last road meets the sea, this visitor was captivated by the sight of local women adorning their hair with fragrant white flowers.

The delicate blooms added a touch of elegance and charm, creating an unforgettable blend of beauty and tradition.

As we prepared to leave this beautiful spot on the evening of October 31, 2024 and head home,

I felt as if my heart was still left behind,
lovingly tied to that enchanting shore.

Already, fallen in love -- unknowingly!💘😉
