On November 12, 2024,* the Zomi Council and its frontal organizations observed a one-minute silence at the Zomi Council office premises to honor the 11 heroes who tragically lost their lives on November 11, 2024, in alleged fake encounters with the CRPF in Jiribam District.
In a solemn display of respect and solidarity, the Zomi Council lowered its flag to half-mast.
