Zomi Flag Rehoisted at V. Munhoih: Community Demands Justice and Respects Its Own Jurisdiction
LAMKA, April 9, 2025 — The Zomi flag has been rightfully rehoisted within the jurisdiction of V. Munhoih, New Lamka — a clear expression of Zomi pride and identity.
It is deeply troubling that while rapists remain at large, the Churachandpur SP/OC has acted swiftly to remove the Zomi flag instead. We urge authorities to focus on delivering justice to victims, not targeting peaceful acts within our own territory.
We also strongly caution those who oppose or interfere: this action took place within our land and under our authority. You have no right to meddle in matters that do not concern you. Disrespect toward the Zomi flag will not be tolerated.
The Zomi people stand firm — in peace, pride, and the protection of our identity.
