The Kuki Students’ Organisation, Churachandpur, warmly welcomes the forthcoming visit of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to our district on 13th September 2025. This is a historic and rare occasion, as it comes nearly four decades after an Indian Prime Minister last visited our land.
To further strengthen security protocols; a preventive measure to ensure public safety and to avoid any untoward incidents during the Prime Minister’s visit. The organization hereby impose a PUBLIC CURFEW within the district with effect from 5:00 PM today, 12th September 2025, until early morning tomorrow. No individual shall be permitted to loiter, assemble, or engage in any form of anti-social activity during this period. All shops, stalls, and business establishments along Tidim Road are strictly directed to remain closed for the duration of the event.
Furthermore, the KSO Churachandpur firmly reiterates that the sanctity of the buffer zone remains intact. In line with this, no Meitei security personnel should come to the district for duty and vice-versa.
The visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister comes at a critical juncture. We view this high-profile engagement as a significant opportunity to amplify the call for justice and to draw national attention to the plight and aspirations of our people. It is our sincere hope that this visit will pave the way for meaningful dialogue, acknowledgment of grievances, and the delivery of long-awaited justice.
