Imphal, the 20th September, 2025
1. The Government of Manipur is deeply concerned about the recent incident of ambush on personnel of the 33 Assam Rifles in which on 19th September 2025, 02 (two) Assam Rifles personnel were martyred, while 05 (five) other AR personnel were injured.
2. State Government strongly condemn such incident. The Government expresses its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this cowardly act and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured.
3. In recognition of sacrifices made by the families of the deceased, the Government announces an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh for those succumbed to injuries (death) and Rs. 2 lakh for those who sustained grievous injuries. Additionally, the will extend all necessary support during their treatment and rehabilitation.
