We deeply mourn the martyrdom of Naib Subedar Shyam Gurung and Rifleman Ranjit Singh Kashyap of 33 Assam Rifles and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured Assam Rifles personnel and civilians on the terror ambush on 19th September, 2025 at Nambol, Near Imphal, Bishnupur District, Manipur.
Thadou Inpi Manipur strongly condemns this act of terror. Violence has no place in a civilized society, and we urge authorities to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice.
The loss of so many lives among the civilian population and security forces during the violent conflicts in Manipur has created frustration among the youth, risking further violence. What Manipur needs is a solution and lasting peace.
We also appeal to the Government of India to address the root causes of this unrest.
