OUR people in Manipur are fed up with the gun culture. We often use guns to fight among ourselves and to silence the voice of the people. Even elections are dictated by the power of guns. Until now, nothing has been achieved through this gun culture. It is high time we find a more effective way to work for the welfare of our people.
Mizoram is a good example for us. There, people can freely express their voices without intimidation from guns. Elections are held peacefully, and no one captures voting booths.
As one people, sharing the same ancestry and culture, we need to integrate with Mizoram. That is the only real path toward our unity, peace, and freedom from the gun culture.
