MIZO INTEGRATION COUNCIL CALLS FOR UNITY AND ONENESS
The Mizo Integration Council (MIC) appeals to all sister tribes to come together and unite as one people. We have long been fragmented and divided, using various names and identities, but it’s time for us to realize that our strength lies in our unity and oneness.
The World recognizes us as Mizo too, a term that encompasses our shared history, culture and traditions. Embracing Mizo as our common nomenclature will not only bring us together but also earn us respect from our neighbours and facilitate our pursuit of separate administration.
MIC believes that unity is key to achieving our goals. When we are united, we can pool our resources, skills, and strengths to achieve common objectives. Our collective voice will be louder and more effective in bringing about positive change.
We urge our entire sister tribes to put aside differences and work towards a unified goal. Let us shed our individual identities and adopt Mizo as our collective identity. Together, we can achieve greatness and secure our rightful place in the region.
WHY UNITY AS MIZO?
• Mizo is recognized and respected term, widely known and respected by all including our neighbours.
• Unity as Mizo will bring us economic prosperity, social justice, and emancipation from division, domination, subjugation, and suppression.
• Mizo is an inclusive identity, welcoming all who want to be part of our community.
• Our shared history, culture, and tradition bind us together, and it’s time for us to recognize and celebrate our shared heritage.
• Unity as Mizo will enable us to preserve our collective culture and heritage and building a stronger and more united community.
• A united Mizo community will be better equipped to promote education and empowerment among our people, establish educational institutions, promote literacy, and empower our youth to become leaders and change-makers.
• Unity as Mizo will enhance our dream to live under one administration, enabling us to govern ourselves and make decisions that benefit our community.
MIC OBJECTIVES FOR MIZO INTEGRATION:
• Emotional Integration: Fostering a sense of belongingness and unity among all Mizos.
• Cultural Integration: Preserving and promoting our shared culture and tradition.
• Linguistic Integration: Promoting the use of Mizo language as our Lingua franca.
• Administrative Integration: Creating a unified administrative framework that empowers our people, ensures effective governance, and paves the way for a prosperous and harmonious United Mizoram.
OUR GOAL: UNITED MIZORAM.
MIC is committed to pursuing the implementation of the Mizo Accord under Article 3 of the India, constitution with the goal of merging our fragmented lands with Mizoram to form a United Mizoram.
Let us seize this opportunity to unite and work towards this noble goal. Let us put our Mizo identity first and strive for a brighter future for ourselves and our generations to come.
LET US REMIND OURSELVES AGAIN, ‘UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL’.
Let’s join hands and be part of Mizo Integration Movement. Let’s build a stronger, more united Mizo community, and secure our rightful place in the world.
LET US UNITE AND LIVE WELL, AND LIVE LONG. “GOD BLESS MIZO INTEGRATION MOVEMENT, BECAUSE, ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’.”
