23 Kuki Villagers, 8 Vehicles allegedly Detained in Senapati

An urgent FIR request has been submitted to the Officer-in-Charge of Senapati Police Station regarding the alleged detention of 23 Kuki villagers along with 8 vehicles on May 13, 2026. The incident reportedly occurred at Senapati Petrol Pump and near Mt. Everest College gate while the villagers were returning from work. According to the complaint, the individuals were allegedly stopped, their phones seized, and later taken towards Karong by volunteers of the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) and local groups. The letter also stated that central and state police forces were present during the incident. Authorities have been urged to take immediate action to ensure the safety of the detained villagers and recover their vehicles.
