Jiribam Holds Plantation Drive Under IEC Campaign

Jiribam, May 19, 2026 (DIO): As part of the ongoing nationwide IEC Campaign on Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle, the District Administration, Jiribam today carried out a saturation and plantation drive at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex and Jairolpokpi Village. 

The drive was led by Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Shri Krishna Kumar, IAS. 

Around 20 saplings of different tree species were planted at the DC Office Complex, while nearly 100 saplings were planted at Jairolpokpi Village. The tree saplings were provided by the Divisional Forest Office, Jiribam to encourage afforestation and environmental protection through people’s participation and mass plantation efforts.

The plantation drive was attended by senior officials, including L. Tarajeet Singh, MCS, SDO, Jiribam; RK Sailash Singh, District Nodal Officer; officials from the DFO, Jiribam and other concerned IEC members of the district.
