Jiribam Launches IEC Campaign for Tribal Welfare

Jiribam, May 18, 2026 (DIO): Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Krishna Kumar, IAS today launched the Nationwide IEC Campaign on “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle”, at the conference hall of DC, office, Chingdong Leikai, Jiribam. 


The objective of the Nationwide Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign is to create awareness on welfare schemes for the tribals and to conduct beneficiary saturation camps for the PVTG/tribals from 18th May to 25th May, 2026 in all identified villages of Jiribam District covered under PM-JANMAN & DA-JGUA.

For Jiribam district, 3 villages have been identified namely Chotobekra, Bhutangkhal and Jairolpokpi for the said IEC camapaign.

Orientation drive for district/block/village level officers by the Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam were the main highlights of today’s campaign.

IEC campaign plan and activities during the campaign in respect of Jiribam district includes Entitlement drive, saturation camps and health screening camps at village level. 

Village immersion drive by organizing transect walks in the villages by officers and Adi Karmayogis and NGOs, Jan Sunwai for grievance redressal and Fast track entitlements resolutions.

The District Administration, Jiribam urges the villages to participate and make the campaign a success.

The launching programme was attended by senior officials including L. Tarajeet Singh, MCS, SDO, Jiribam, Dr. Vinay Prashad Sahu, CMO, Jiribam, RK. Sailash Singh, District Nodal Officer and other concerned IEC members of the district.
