Jiribam, May 25, 2026 (DIO): The weeklong nationwide Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign under the theme “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” concluded successfully today at the conference hall of the DC Office, Chingdong Leikai, Jiribam.
The campaign, which began on May 18, was launched with the objective of creating awareness about various tribal welfare schemes through a nationwide IEC initiative.
During the weeklong programme, the District Administration, Jiribam, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Shri Krishna Kumar, IAS, in collaboration with line departments and Block Level Officers, organised a series of beneficiary saturation camps for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and tribal communities in identified villages of the district, including Chotobekra, Bhutangkhal, and Jairolpokpi under PM-JANMAN and DA-JGUA schemes.
As part of the campaign, entitlement drives, saturation camps, health screening camps, and distribution of benefits under various government welfare schemes were conducted at the village level across the district.
A village immersion drive was also organised, which included transect walks carried out by officers, Adi Karmayogis, and NGOs to assess village conditions and community needs.
The campaign additionally featured Jan Sunwai programmes for grievance redressal and fast-track resolution of entitlement-related issues.
Deputy Commissioner Shri Krishna Kumar, IAS, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders and District Level Officers for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the successful implementation of the campaign in Jiribam district.
