Kamjong, May 25, 2026 (DIO): Deputy Commissioner of Kamjong, Shri L. N. Kashung, IAS, today held a debriefing programme on the successful completion of the week-long Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign titled “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” conducted in Kamjong district under the DAJGUA and PM-JANMAN initiatives of the Government of India.
The campaign, launched on May 18 from the DC Kamjong Camp Office at 2nd MR Complex, Imphal, covered 20 villages across four blocks. During the campaign period, 12 Jan Sunwai programmes, nine health camps, and 20 transect walks were conducted, with participation of around 500 people.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner informed that 84 grievances and public issues were received during the Jan Sunwai programmes, of which 60 cases were resolved on the spot.
He further stated that 191 individuals underwent medical screening during the campaign, while 27 HPV vaccinations and nine routine immunisations were administered. In addition, 28 pension forms were distributed, two biometric Aadhaar updations facilitated, and 212 certificates related to Scheduled Tribe (ST), domicile, income, Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC), and birth registration were issued.
The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted that plantation drives organised across various subdivisions resulted in the planting of 555 saplings. Besides, 113 photographs and two videos documenting the campaign activities were uploaded to the Adi Prasaran Portal.
Shri L. N. Kashung, IAS appreciated the collective efforts of district officials, field-level staff, village authorities, and local residents for ensuring the successful implementation of the campaign across Kamjong district.
