Lamka, June 17, 2026: The Songkong Village Authority has alleged that Indian security forces attacked Songkong village on June 16, 2026, at around 2:00 p.m., using drones and bombs, endangering civilians, including women and children.
According to the Village Authority, a villager identified as Lenminsang Haokip, son of Lenkhogin Haokip, was killed during the incident. The authority claimed that after he was taken away, his whereabouts became unknown. It further alleged that the clothes he had been wearing were later found, while an army uniform was allegedly used to portray him as a militant.
The Village Authority strongly condemned the alleged attack on the village and its residents.
In a video circulated following the incident, speakers claimed that when the alleged drone and bomb attack began, Ginsanglen Haokip ran out of his house. They alleged that he was shot by security personnel and taken away.
According to the video, the shirt he had been wearing was later recovered and reportedly contained bullet-hole marks. His shorts and sandals were also allegedly found nearby, but his body has not been recovered.

The Village Authority alleged that the incident was a "fake encounter" and demanded justice.
