THE Hill Areas Committee (HAC) of the Manipur Legislative Assembly has formally forwarded the Delimitation Committee's report on the delimitation of the state's 10 Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) to the Manipur Government for further necessary action.
According to an official communication issued by the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat on June 25, 2026, the report was submitted to the Secretary to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Manipur. The letter, signed by Deputy Secretary Pammei Ningmei, stated that the report had been duly approved by the Hill Areas Committee in accordance with the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Manipur Legislative Assembly relating to Scheduled Matters.
The report covers the delimitation of the following Autonomous District Councils: Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Chandel, Senapati, Noney, Churachandpur, Sadar Hills, Tengnoupal, Kamjong, and Pherzawl.
As per the report, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Chandel, Senapati, Noney, Churachandpur, Sadar Hills, Tengnoupal, and Kamjong Autonomous District Councils have been allocated 24 District Council Constituencies (DCCs) each, while Pherzawl Autonomous District Council has been allocated 15 DCCs.
The forwarding of the report marks an important step towards the implementation of the ADC delimitation process, with the matter now awaiting further action from the Manipur Government.
