PRESS RELEASE
KUKI CSOs WORKING COMMITTEE, KAMJONG REJECTS VICIOUS TANGKHUL SUPREMACIST PROPAGANDA AND HOLDS CHATRIC VILLAGE AUTHORITY LEADERS AND TANGKHUL NSCN-IM FASCIST TERRORISTS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THE NAMBAN RIVER BRIDGE
The Kuki Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) Working Committee, Kamjong, categorically and vehemently rejects the filthy, baseless and malicious propaganda being spewed by Tangkhul supremacist outfits and their frontal organisations. These pathological liars have once again rushed to shamelessly blame “Kuki militants” and even the Assam Rifles for the targeted destruction of the vital Bailey Bridge across the Namban River between Phange and Chatric Khunou villages.
This is yet another desperate, despicable and cowardly attempt by these ethnic supremacists and fascists to cover up their own terrorist crimes, deflect attention from their heinous acts of ethnic cleansing, and continue their relentless campaign of hatred and dehumanisation against the Kuki people.
We ask these Tangkhul propagandists and their apologists some simple, logical questions they will never be able to answer honestly:
Why would any Kuki—militant or civilian—venture deep into heavily controlled Tangkhul territory, past NSCN-Eastern Flank cadres and heavily armed Naga Village Guards, to carry out a sophisticated sabotage operation requiring the large-scale movement of men and the transportation of explosives and materials? Are the NSCN-Eastern Flank members and the so-called Naga Village Guards all blind, deaf and utterly incompetent?
Why would the Assam Rifles destroy a bridge that serves as a critical lifeline for connectivity, security and civilian movement in the region?
The answers are obvious to any person with even half a brain: these accusations are nothing but fabricated lies and cheap propaganda designed to shield the real culprits.
The blame for the destruction of this bridge falls squarely and entirely on the Chatric Village Authority, its Chairman, KS Ramsing, and its Secretary, AS Ningreishang.
On 16th May 2026, this very authority issued orders prohibiting the free movement of people and government security forces within their areas. They physically blocked roads and infrastructure and even mobilised their women to obstruct Assam Rifles and Indian Army personnel from conducting operations against armed Tangkhul NSCN militants sheltered in their villages.
This bridge was deliberately blown up to permanently cut off connectivity and prevent displaced Kuki families from returning to and resettling in their ancestral villages—Lanchah, Kultuh and Phaikoh—which were brutally burnt to ashes by Tangkhul NSCN-IM fascist terrorists.
These same Tangkhul supremacist organisations—Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang (TNZL), Chatric Village Authority and their ilk—have a long, shameful and blood-soaked history of attacking innocent Kuki civilians, burning Kuki villages, using the most inhumane and dehumanising language, and openly promoting a fascist supremacist ideology that treats Kukis as “migrants”, “tenants” and people living “on the mercy of their real landowners—the Nagas.”
Such language and actions are not just inflammatory—they are the classic hallmarks of ethnic supremacism and fascism. These groups have repeatedly attacked Kukis, shielded their own armed militants, obstructed legitimate security operations, and now seek to blame the very victims of their terrorism.
We Demand
1. Immediate, impartial and thorough investigation by the Government of Manipur and central agencies into the direct role of Chatric Village Authority Chairman KS Ramsing, Secretary AS Ningreishang, and Tangkhul NSCN-IM elements in the destruction of the bridge and the burning of Kuki villages.
2. Strict legal action under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act and other relevant laws against all those who blocked security forces and enabled this act of sabotage.
3. An end to the protection and glorification of Tangkhul NSCN-IM terrorists by village authorities and so-called civil society organisations.
The Kuki people will not be silenced, will not be intimidated, and will not accept this fascist onslaught. We will continue to expose these Tangkhul supremacist lies and fight for justice, truth and our inalienable right to live peacefully in our ancestral lands.
