Manipur Police Arrest Two in 6 Naga Killings Case

Manipur Police announced the arrest of two individuals allegedly involved in the killing of six Naga men at Leilon Vaiphei village on 13 May 2026. Acting on credible inputs, a joint team of Manipur Police, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out the operation in the early hours of Saturday, 10 July 2026. 


The accused were identified as Pradip, son of Tomba, and his wife Ayingbi, both residents of Leilon Vaiphei village. Authorities confirmed that necessary search and seizure procedures were conducted at the site, and legal formalities are underway. The arrests mark a significant development in a case that has drawn widespread condemnation and demands for justice from Naga organisations and civil society groups.
