Tengnoupal, July 6, 2026: The District Election Officer (DEO) of Tengnoupal on Monday held a meeting with representatives of political parties at the Khangshim Camp Office to discuss the publication of the Draft Electoral Rolls under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026. The meeting was chaired by DEO and Deputy Commissioner Shri Saurabh Yadav, who briefed participants on the revision process aimed at ensuring maximum voter participation, complete inclusion of all eligible electors and full transparency.
The DEO urged political parties to actively participate in the revision process by reporting any wrongful deletion of voters and filing claims or objections wherever necessary. He assured that hearing notices would be issued soon and stressed that no eligible voter should be removed from the electoral roll by mistake. Political parties were also encouraged to spread awareness among voters and cooperate with the district administration to ensure every eligible elector is enrolled.
Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Asghar Arzad informed that the draft electoral roll has been published and is available at the offices of the DEO, ERO, AEROs and the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs). As of June 28, 2026, 39,911 of the district's 45,139 registered electors had submitted their Enumeration Forms, reflecting strong public participation during the enumeration phase. Claims and objections may be submitted to the ERO, AEROs or BLOs from July 5 to August 4, 2026, during office hours.
