Imphal, July 31, 2026: Representatives of the Unified Zou Organisation (UZO), Zomi Chief Association (ZCA), and the Zomi Council (ZC) on Friday called on Manipur Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh at the Chief Minister's Secretariat in Babupara.
The delegation was warmly received by the Chief Minister, accompanied by MLA Shri Tongbram Robindro.
During the meeting, the Zomi leaders discussed various issues concerning the state and expressed their support for the Government's ongoing efforts to restore lasting peace and normalcy in Manipur. They also exchanged views on measures to strengthen mutual trust and understanding among different communities.
The delegation further submitted a proposal requesting the construction of a Multi-Utility Hall in Churachandpur to serve the needs of the local community.
The visit is considered significant as it marks the first time representatives of the three Zomi organisations travelled together from Churachandpur to Imphal to meet the Chief Minister, highlighting a united approach towards dialogue, peace, and development.
