Differently Abled Student Completes 10-KM Run for Unity

Lamka, Aug 9, 2026: The Churachandpur District Police successfully organised a 10-KM Run for Unity on 8th August 2026 as part of its efforts to promote Unity, inclusiveness, community participation and a healthy lifestyle with special emphasis on 'No to Drugs'.

A special moment of the event was the inspiring participation of Mr Soilalpui, a differently abled person, who successfully completed the entire 10-KM run with remarkable determination and perseverance. He is the son of Pa Hanglun and Nu Hoihching of Zion Veng, New Lamka. He is a student of Class XI at Rayburn Higher Secondary School.

His achievement was highly appreciated by the District Police and fellow participants.

The successful completion of the run serves as a powerful example of courage, resilience and the determination to overcome challenges. It also highlights the importance of creating an inclusive society where every individual is encouraged and given equal opportunity to participate and contribute.

The District Police felicitated and recognised Mr Soilalpui for his inspiring achievement and commended the spirit and determination displayed throughout the event.

The District Police expressed its appreciation to all participants, volunteers, members of the public and the Press & Media whose enthusiastic participation contributed to the success of the Run for Unity.

The District Police remains committed to promoting unity, inclusiveness, equality and stronger police-public relations, while encouraging citizens from all sections of society to actively participate in community initiatives and fight against the evil menace of drugs in our district.
