Manipur transfers 16 MCS officers in major reshuffle

IMPHAL, Aug. 5, 2026: The Government of Manipur has ordered the transfer and posting of 16 Manipur Civil Service (MCS) officers with immediate effect in the public interest. The order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division) on 3 August 2026.

According to the official notification on August 3, Polly Makan, MCS, who was serving as ADC, Ukhrul and also holding additional charge as SDO/BDO, Lungchong Maiphei, has been posted as ADC, Ukhrul. H.L. Jain, MCS, has been transferred as ADC, Kamjong, while David Kasungnao, MCS, has been posted as Project Director, DRDA, Ukhrul, with additional charge of SDO/BDO, Lungchong Maiphei.

Among other key transfers, S. Khaikhopau Ngaikhte, MCS, has been given additional charge as SDO/BDO, Vangai Range, while James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, will continue as CEO, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (Kangpokpi) and also hold additional charge as SDO/BDO, Bungte Chiru.

The order further assigns Mangminlian Vaiphei, MCS, additional charge as SDO/BDO, Kangvai, while Syed Amjad Ali, MCS, will serve as SDO/BDO, Kamjong in his grade pay. Pangambam Yaitongba Singh, MCS, has been posted as BDO, Nambol, and Bhungba Maibam Khuman, MCS, has been appointed Assistant Commissioner to the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West.

Other transfers include Laithanzam Fimate, MCS, as SDO/BDO, Thanlon; Tongbram Shyamkumar Singh, MCS, as SDO, Nambol; Yaiphaba Longjam, MCS, as BDO, Bishnupur; Huidrom Sofia Devi, MCS, as Assistant Commissioner to the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West; Naorem Pritam Singh, MCS, as SDO, Bishnupur; Md. Hefajuddin, MCS, as SDO/BDO, Kangchup Geljang; and Th. Mangminthang Gangte, MCS, as SDO/BDO, Henglep.
