Thadou leaders reaffirm commitment to Manipur integrity

IMPHAL, Aug. 5, 2026: Thadou Inpi Manipur General Secretary Michael Lamjathang Thadou reaffirmed the Thadou community's commitment to the unity and integrity of Manipur while paying floral tributes at the Manipur Integrity Pillar on the occasion of the 29th Manipur Integrity Day observed by the All Manipur United Clubs Organisation (AMUCO) on August 4, 2026

The tribute ceremony was held on Tuesday morning at Polo Ground, near the Manipur Museum in Imphal, where Michael Lamjathang Thadou represented the Thadou people of Manipur.

In a statement, he said that the unity and territorial integrity of Manipur are sacrosanct for all Manipuris and remain the foundation of peaceful coexistence among the state's diverse ethnic communities.

He further stated that the Thadou people hold the unity and integrity of Manipur close to their hearts, describing it as the cornerstone of harmony in the multi-ethnic society of the state.

The floral tribute was offered on behalf of the Thadou community as part of the observance organised by AMUCO to commemorate Manipur Integrity Day. The event was attended by representatives of various organisations and community members, who paid homage at the Manipur Integrity Pillar and reiterated their commitment to preserving the state's unity and territorial integrity.
