NEW DELHI — Members of the Telangana State Mala Sangala Joint Action Committee (JAC) and the Telangana Mala Students JAC staged a protest at Jantar Mantar on Monday, August 10, 2026, demanding an immediate overhaul of Telangana's Scheduled Caste (SC) categorization and roster systems.
Demonstrators holding banners featuring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and community leaders accused the Telangana government of enacting SC categorization laws that bypass Supreme Court guidelines. Organisers asserted that the current framework creates administrative inequities in public employment and higher education admissions.
