Tengnoupal Gives Priority to Birth Certificates

Tengnoupal, Aug. 7, 2026: The Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Tengnoupal, has directed all Medical Officers in-charge and Registrars of Births and Deaths Registration in the district to give top priority to the processing and issuance of birth certificates during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll.

In a memorandum dated August 6, the CMO instructed officials to ensure that all eligible applicants receive their birth certificates without delay so they can produce the necessary documents required during the SIR process.

The directive applies to all registration offices under Tengnoupal district and stresses the importance of prompt service delivery to support the electoral revision exercise. The memorandum also calls for strict compliance with the instructions. It was issued by Dr. Tongjaikai Haokip, CMO and District Registrar of Births and Deaths Registration, Tengnoupal District.
